COVID-19: How We Are Keeping Everyone Safe

COVID-19: How We Are Keeping Everyone Safe

At SFM, we understand that the COVID-19 pandemic has affected many individuals and families around the world. Our sympathies go out to those who have suffered from this disease, including those who have lost loved ones.

We are incredibly grateful for the dedication and hard work of key workers and the NHS in their efforts to keep us all safe during these challenging times. As a company, we recognise the importance of supporting and acknowledging those who are on the front lines of this pandemic, working tirelessly to care for those affected by COVID-19.

As a company, we take our responsibility to prevent the spread of COVID-19 seriously. We have implemented strict risk controls across our office and warehouse to ensure the safety of our staff and visitors. Our aim is to provide a safe and healthy working environment for everyone who interacts with our company.

We will continue to follow the guidelines and recommendations from health officials and government authorities, and adapt our policies and procedures as needed to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. We understand the importance of working together as a community to overcome this pandemic and we are committed to doing our part.

We encourage everyone to take the necessary precautions to protect themselves and their loved ones, and to stay up-to-date with the latest information and guidelines from health officials. Together, we can make a difference and help to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

We have implemented a comprehensive range of risk controls in both our office and warehouse facilities to ensure that everyone who enters our premises can do so with peace of mind.

Our social distancing policy requires that all staff maintain a minimum distance of 2 meters between each other in work areas as required. This is to ensure that there is no close contact between individuals that could potentially lead to the spread of infectious diseases.

We have also taken significant steps to improve workplace and personal hygiene. Our team has increased the frequency of cleaning throughout the workplace, ensuring that all high-touch surfaces are thoroughly sanitised on a regular basis. All equipment is also sanitised before and after use, ensuring that there is no risk of transmission between staff members.

We have provided all of our staff members with antibacterial hand gels and handwashing facilities, which are available at all times. We also provide disposable gloves and face masks to all staff members, so that they can work safely and securely.

In addition to these measures, all staff members are briefed and trained on the relevant guidelines related to hygiene and safety, to ensure that they are fully aware of what is expected of them in the workplace. We have also increased ventilation throughout our facilities, to ensure that fresh air is circulating and that there is no risk of stagnant air carrying harmful particles.

We are committed to regular testing of all staff members in the workplace, to ensure that we are able to identify and manage any potential outbreaks of infectious diseases as quickly as possible. Wherever possible, we encourage staff members to work from home, in order to minimise the risk of transmission between individuals.

In addition to the measures outlined above, we have also implemented protocols for visitors to our warehouse to ensure their safety while on our premises. These protocols include:

  • Visitors must complete a health questionnaire prior to entering the warehouse, confirming that they have not been in close contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 or experienced any symptoms themselves in the past 14 days.
  • All visitors are required to wear a face mask or covering while on the premises.
  • Visitors must sanitize their hands upon entering and leaving the warehouse.
  • Visitors are required to maintain a minimum distance of 2 meters from any staff members while on the premises.
  • We have limited the number of visitors allowed in the warehouse at any given time to minimize the risk of transmission.

We have also designated specific areas for visitors to enter and exit the warehouse to minimize contact with staff and to allow for efficient contact tracing if necessary. Our protocols for visitors are regularly reviewed and updated in accordance with the latest guidelines from health authorities.

We understand that these measures may cause some inconvenience, but the safety of our staff and visitors is our top priority. By working together and following these protocols, we can help to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and keep everyone safe.
